Visit Australia, a magnificent piece of landmass, also called The Land Down Under or simply “Oz”. It stands alone as almost an entire continent. It is the 6th largest country in the world.

This beautiful, magnificent country is in the southern hemisphere. It contains the world’s most breathtaking beaches and natural wonders. The majority of the country is open space, covered in deserts and the outback. However, Australia also has both the serene coasts and rainforests. The beautiful island of Tasmania is also part of the Australian Commonwealth.

The official currency is Australian Dollar. The approximate exchange rate is A$1, 38 for US$1. Exchange facilities are available at international airports, major hotels and city banks. All major credit cards are accepted in the country. Also, ATMs are available widely in cities, although not so much in small towns and rural areas.

Taxis are plentiful, safe and have reasonable prices. However, car hire is available at all major airports and big hotels for those who are over 21 years old. Roads are of a high standard, but cars drive on the left side of the road here, which can be unusual.

In Australia, they use electric sockets and plugs of type I, so bring an adapter. The standard voltage is 230V.

Australian culture is primarily western culture and English is the official state language. Its natives are a diverse group of Aborigines and other Oceania island peoples. It has a history of British colonization; however, various waves of multi-ethnic migration followed.

Australia is divided into seven regions: New South Wales and Australian Capital Territory, Queensland, South Australia, Tasmania, Victoria, and Western Australia.

There is no other place like Australia. It boasts unique geography. Due to the separation from the rest of the world, Australia has unique flora and fauna. Visit Australia to find relaxing beaches, the Coral Sea, and a unique underwater experience at the Great Barrier Reef.
