Information that we collect and how we use it
We collect your name and email address (when you give it to us). For example, you may subscribe to receive email updates from the blog by submitting your email address and/or when you may make a purchase on our store.

Comments & Forum

We DO NOT collect your emails or any other personal data from the Comments and Forum section of this website.
We generally do not encourage the submission of any personal information in these comments or through the contact mechanism other than what we expressly require (e.g., name and email address).

After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment. The “Information” you disclose in the comments becomes public information and you should exercise caution when deciding to disclose your information in a submission.
Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.

We do not save, view, or use data from the Comments and Forum section.


If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.


If you leave a comment on our “Site” you may opt-in to save your name, email address, and your website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

We use Google Analytics and Alexa Analytics. Google and Alexa (an Amazon company) may track users IP address, visits, sessions, country of origin, time spent on site, pages visited, etc. We only receive and use aggregate data from Google Analytics and Alexa.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

Disclosure of Information

We DO NOT share your name and email provided via the Site to any third party, except to comply with legal requirements, such as law, regulation, warrant, subpoena, court order, or with a regulator or law enforcement agency or personnel. (None of these should worry you anyways!)

If you have an account on this site or have left comments, taken quizzes, made purchases, commented in the Forums, etc. you can request to receive your personal data we hold about you, including any data you may have provided to us.

You can also request that we erase any “sensitive personal data” we hold about you (if any). This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

How we protect your data

Each year we do a technical and security evaluation of our sites. We have installed security plugins that detect and defend hackers, spams, and malware. We also retain an offline backup to protect all data from getting lost or damaged.

Lastly, anyone who uses this Site with any moderator, editing, or admin level access uses 2FA (2 Factor Authentication) for an additional layer of security.

We recommend all of our users to use 2FA for any logins and also to change their passwords every now and then to maintain a robust security. 

Data breach procedures

We do our best to not have any form of data breach in the first place. That said, in case of a data breach, our policy is to inform all involved parties immediately with the details on the type of breach, data/information leaked, what to do next steps, etc.
