There are many islands in the Pacific Ocean. It would be a daunting task to make a list of all of them. But mainly the Islands of Pacific Ocean form three groups: Micronesia, Melanesia, and Polynesia. The largest island, regarding the geographical area, is New Guinea.
As we know, Pacific Ocean is a subtly calm ocean. Around 30,000 islands are located in this vast body of water. For example, Micronesia consists of Kiribati, Marshall Islands, Mariana Islands, the Caroline Islands, etc. Polynesia group comprises Tuvalu, Samoa, New Zealand, Easter Island, Cook Island, Hawaii, Tonga, etc. Also, Melanesia group contains New Guinea, Santa Cruz, Solomon Islands, Fiji, etc.
Hawaiian Islands are the Polynesian islands, which are the largest in the USA. There are lots of things you can do here. Visit the Volcanoes National Park or view the Akaka Falls. Getting around is easy inside the islands by using the roads. Also, if you want to travel between islands, seaports and interstate airlines can help you. Hilo and Kona are the two major ports on the Big (Hawaii) Island, for example.
The United States also own other islands in the Pacific’s. They are Aleutian Islands, American Samoa, Baker Island, Howland Island, Johnston Atoll, Jarvis Island, Kingman Reef, Palmyra Atoll, Marianas Islands and Wake Island.
Fiji Islands are an amalgamation of over 330 islands. It is, in fact, one of the most expensive places to visit in the world.
Kiribati is the group of Line Islands, Gilbert Islands, and the Phoenix Islands. It is one of the Micronesian islands in the Pacific Ocean. Travelers can move around using small airplanes. The air network is extensive hence you can take any airlines at an affordable price.
